Warnings and Limited Warranty

IMPORTANT SAFETY WARNING!
READ BEFORE YOU USE THE SPLATTER GUARD

The Splatter Guard uses powerful, rare-earth, neodymium magnets to affix the unit to the stovetop range.

• Individuals with cardiac pacemakers, implantable cardioverter-defibrillators (ICDs), or other internal medical devices should consult their physician before use of the Splatter Guard, as the magnets could interfere with the operation of those devices.

• The Splatter Guard should be kept away from electronic items such as televisions, computer monitors, credit cards, computer diskettes or other data carriers, as its strong magnetic field could damage those and other electronics.

• Under no circumstances should the Splatter Guard be altered, cut, sawed or drilled. The neodymium magnets are very brittle and can shatter, and the resulting dust is highly flammable.

• Neodymium magnets should never be burned, as burning them creates toxic fumes.

• The Splatter Guard is NOT a children’s safety device.

• Do not place the Splatter Guard into the dishwasher --- this will invalidate the warranty.

Note: Magnets will not adhere to a stainless steel oven top.

LIMITED WARRANTY

This Threebe ‘N Jay product is warranted for a period of one (1) year, from the date of purchase, and is warranted to be free of defects in material and workmanship. This limited warranty is provided only to the original purchaser and is non-transferable. Repair or replacement under this limited warranty shall not renew or extend the original warranty period, and any repaired product shall be warranted for the remaining limited warranty period only.
 

Disclaimers, Limitations of Remedies and Exclusions -- Read Carefully!

This limited warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights which vary from state to state.

DISCLAIMER OF OTHER WARRANTIES: To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, this limited warranty is exclusive and expressly in lieu of any and all other warranties, including, without limitation, and implied warranties of merchantability of fitness for a particular purpose or any other implied warranties that may arise from a course of dealing or usage or trade. Threebe ‘N Jay hereby disclaims and excludes all other warranties. To the extent that Threebe ‘N Jay products are consumer products under applicable federal or state law with respect to any customer, the duration of any implied warranties (including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose) are limited to the shortest duration permitted by applicable law or the limited warranty period provided herein, whichever is longer.

LIMITATIONS OF REMEDIES: Threebe ‘N Jay shall not be liable to the customer, or to anyone claiming under customer, for any other obligations or liabilities, including, but not limited to, obligations of liabilities arising out of breach of contract or warranty, negligence or other tort or any theory of strict liability, with respect to the product or Threebe ‘N Jay’s acts or omissions or otherwise. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Threebe ‘N Jay shall not, in any event, be liable for incidental, compensatory, punitive, consequential, indirect, special or other damages, including but not limited to loss of use, loss of income, loss of time, loss of sales, injury to personal property, or liability customer incurs with respect to any other person, or any other type or form of consequential damage or economic loss.

WARRANTY EXCLUSIONS: The limited warranty excludes any failures that are not caused by a defect in material or workmanship. This warranty does not cover accidental damage, normal wear and tear, abuse or improper handling. This warranty also does not cover the product if it has been altered structurally, modified, neglected, improperly maintained, or used for purposes other than for which it was manufactured. This warranty does not cover damage to or failures of the product from normal wear and tear, misuse, negligence, abuse, accident, vandalism, freight damage, failure to follow instructions, improper installation, failure to perform routine inspection and any required maintenance service, damage caused by transport from one site or location to another, alterations to the product not expressly authorized by Threebe ‘N Jay or from other causes having an origin other than in the manufacture of the product.

Warranty Claim Procedure

For warranty service the customer should contact Threebe ‘N Jay, Inc. at P.O. Box 8116, Rolling Meadows, Illinois 60008; or you mail email the company at threebenjay@yahoo.com. Again, this limited warranty is valid for one (1) year from the original date of purchase. If your ‘Splatter Guard’ should prove to be defective within this period, we will repair or replace it at our option, without cost to you except for shipping and handling.
 

Registration

It is not necessary for the customer to file a warranty registration form, since a simple history search will provide the original date of purchase by the customer.
